Very popular place. Most customers were French - like being on the Left Bank. Had a coffee and a delicious almond and chocolate pastry. If I wasn't about to leave Tavira, I would return for breakfast again

A gorgeous little bakery we visited a few times in the morning whilst on holiday. A fantastic array of bread, pastries and cakes. Wonderful, friendly French owner, and a friendly cat too! Nicely decorated, bookshelves of books to borrow and quick service!

Terrific customer service from the French family who runs this bakery. Their croissants literally just melt in the mouth and an treat on any day. Prices are so very nominal and be sure to come early to snag the fresh pastries. We came here couple of times during our stay for relaxed lounging for breakfast.

Had brunch here today. The bacon quiche was really good: the vegetable quiche was amazing (loved the addition of hazelnuts), accompanied by a generous pot of fresh green tea. And to finish it off, the best patisserie I have had. Looks sweet but is just right: melts in the mouth yet the flavour lasts. Merci beaucoup!

One of the best bakeries in Algarve, and I think the best French bakery in the region as well. It opens early morning at 7 a.m. and closes in the afternoon and Tuesday it’s off. they bake with love and perfection. Thanks to the work team, and great gratitude to the young man at the cashier for his help and kindness to everyone…

The tarte au pomme was outstanding. The puff pastry was incredibly light and flaky without any greasiness. The apples were sweet and perfectly cooked. There was a clear glaze on top of the apples that just gave the pastry a beautiful appearance. The chocolate croissants were superb, with a beautifully laminated puff pastry and chocolate on the interior was soft and melted on the tongue. The caracol, raisin roll, was excellent with sweet raisins, and a puff pastry and a custard swirl. The outermost layer of the caracal was crispy, while the inside was unctious and sweet We also enjoyed a slice of their large levain and baguette for our lunches - Wow, both were amazing. The vegetable quiche, with peppers and onion and other vegetables was delicious cheesy creamy eggy goodness. velvet on the tongue. Their prices were very fair and the inside of the La Baguette Artisan Boulanger was attractive. Their pastries were presented in an attractive way and the people running this restaurant were very friendly and very accommodating. Charming little bakery in the heart of Tavira. Locals and tourists alike enjoy this little taste of France. Wonderful, friendly staff provide excellent service. Order at the counter and either take away or enjoy in the blue & white tiled dining room. Excellent quality, but come early for the best selection!

Pleasant small bakery tucked into a downtown neighborhood. Beautiful products and fabulous rich (but drinkable) coffee. Conscientious and pleasant staff. Great experience sitting inside, outside or just take away.

This is almost reason enough to come to Tavira alone. We come here every morning when we are here and eat like kings for under €10 per person with loads of drinks and bread and pastries to take away. We had a lemon tart (citron meringee) that is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, period. Insanely tasty and would love to eat it every day of my life.
The owners are a French family who are attentive and kind. We came early in the morning with our kid and one morning when we were extra tired the owner made us a special pick me up concoction without us even asking. They are sweet and kind and serious about great food.

Lovely french café and bakery! This is my one of my favourite bakeries in tavira. It's is French and wonderful with amazing bread and baguettes. There cakes and coffee are also really good too. Lunch stuff also looks and sounds good but yet to try. The staff are really nice and friendly, true 5 star service and are really accommodating. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Love this spot. A greaty variety of fresh pastries and perfect coffee. Nothing prententious just a good quality bakery with a really friendly staff. It became a regular morning spot for us while we were in Tavira. Although make sure you don't arrive too late as the pastries will be gone!
